Cookie Policy.

A list of every cookie and similar tracking technology this site sets, in plain English. Last updated 27 June 2026.

Plain summary: 2 essential cookies, 1 functional cookie, and 1 set of analytics cookies that only load if you accept. No marketing cookies. No third-party advertising trackers.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. Some are needed to run a site at all (logging you in, remembering settings). Others measure how the site is used. Some sites also use cookies to track you across the web for advertising - this site does not.

2. The full list

3. Categories

  • Strictly necessary - the site cannot function without these. No consent is required under DPDP s.7(a) and GDPR Recital 30.
  • Functional - remembers preferences like theme. On by default but you may reject.
  • Analytics - measures aggregate site usage. Off until you accept. Granular consent under DPDP s.6 and GDPR Art. 6(1)(a).
  • Marketing - not used on this site. Listed for completeness.

4. Third-party processors

The only third party that places anything in your browser is PostHog, Inc.(EU region), and only after you give analytics consent. PostHog acts as a data processor under a standard data processing agreement.

This site does not load Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, X Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Segment, Hotjar, FullStory, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any other advertising or session-replay tool.

5. Do Not Track

If your browser sends the Do Not Track header, analytics will not load even if you previously accepted. The signal is respected globally on this site.

6. Withdrawing or changing consent

You can change your decision at any time by clearing site data in your browser - the consent banner will reappear with all options. A future release will offer an in-page "manage cookies" link. Withdrawing consent does not delete events that were already captured under earlier valid consent; you can ask for those to be deleted separately by emailing me.

7. Legal basis under DPDP and GDPR

  • Strictly necessary cookies: legitimate use under DPDP s.7(a) and necessity under GDPR Recital 30.
  • Functional cookies: legitimate use under DPDP s.7(a) and GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) with the ability to reject.
  • Analytics cookies: consent under DPDP s.6 and GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) collected via the consent banner before any tracking script loads.
